I'm Rana, a multimedia journalist and events producer living between San Francisco and New York City. I recently graduated from Columbia Journalism School, where I focused on video production, international correspondence, and open-source investigations. I’ve covered immigration, human rights, and global conflict in my reporting.

Alongside my reporting, I tell stories on food, community, and culture and have produced audio pieces for Heritage Radio Network.

I’m also excited by bringing stories to life through events. In San Francisco, I founded a dinner series centered around food, wine, and vinyl music. I currently work as an events producer with Semafor’s Live Journalism team, helping produce editorial events that convene global decision-makers and reporters around the world’s most pressing issues.

Previously, I worked in technology as a digital strategist at IBM, leading product launches, storytelling, and change management.
